Deuteronomy 6:6-7
Hello December! Is it just me or did this year just fly by? Well, as we end this year, I am super excited about some amazing opportunities to share here on my blog. Today, is a little sneak peak of a new project that I am partnering with Leslie Nunnery at Teach Them Diligently Ministries.
“Teach Them Diligently was born out of a recognized need for more events that celebrate Gospel-Centered Homeschooling. It is our mission to help families fulfill the Great Commission, by providing them with opportunities to unite around the Gospel, and with resources that encourage, equip, and inspire them to bring up and educate their children as ambassadors for Christ.” Their three main goals are to encourage, equip, and inspire families, which really coincides with the mission here at GracefullyHome.com.
I was able to sit down “virtually” with Leslie last month for an interview. It was a humbling experience as I shared our family’s story of hope and healing with her thousands of listeners. Leslie and I are currently working on a helpful new series to raise natural health awareness and offer simple health tips to other homeschooling mothers and their families. It is a way to help others learn how to take charge of their own health so that they are more able to successfully help support their own family’s health needs by going back to basics. Stay tuned for more details.
As we welcome December and the hectic schedule the holidays typically bring, we need to make sure to take time to take care of ourselves and not just wait to make our New Year’s resolutions before we take action and make our health a priority.
Here is a glimpse of what the interview covered, “I was much like many mothers that I know out there feeling pulled in every direction, feeling overwhelmed, exhausted & living on survival mode. After all, I had plenty of practice being a SAH military wife w/ lots of littles & a husband on frequent deployments.
Living in survival mode for so many years, caught up to me in the fall of 2014 while I was nursing our 5 month old baby girl. We had just started to make the transition to our dream homestead. My husband’s military retirement was just on the horizon & my life just stopped. An aggressive form of breast cancer took hold & tripled in size in 2 short months. Scared does not begin to describe the emotions that I was experiencing!”

Until next time, keep it simple!
