CREATIVITY FOR THE WIN

When people think of health, food and exercise are the first things that come to mind.  But I know firsthand how other areas of our life can impact our overall health in significant ways and do not involve what is on our plate or whether or not we worked out five times at the gym this week.  Shocking for some, I know!

 

Along with giving gifts and hospitality, creating has been something that I have always enjoyed doing, ever since I was a little girl. But after years of caring for little ones that outnumbered me at any given time and barely surviving through back-to-back long military deployments without my husband being physically present, I was literally just living in survival mode.  There was no time for taking a shower, let alone Mama CRAFT TIME!  If you’re a mother, you know what I am talking about.

 

As a result, the stress was overwhelming and I felt like JOY was slowly slipping away from me. A bout with an aggressive form of cancer and then a very tragic loss in our family, gave way to one of the darkest seasons in my life.  But the Lord is patient and His grace is sufficient!  There is ALWAYS hope!

 

 

SECOND CHANCES

I am grateful for second chances and for this online platform where I am given the opportunity to be able to encourage, inspire, and yes CREATE again!  It has been an unexpected blessing that has helped impact my story of hope and healing in more ways than one.  It has helped me turn my eyes upward and my heart towards others, even on those days that my heart is heavy.

 

It is my hope that the FREE resources offered here at GracefullyHome.com will be a blessing to you on your own unique journey and that you will be encouraged to find JOY in the simple things in your life.  If you struggle with doubt or negative mindset like I do at times, know that you are not alone.  

 

Remember, “Practice makes progress.”  We can exchange habits that are detrimental for our overall well being and replace them with positive, life-giving habits that nourish our souls. So don’t grow weary and take it one day at a time.
